In our previous lesson, "Are You Really Looking For List Building Tips?", we agreed that we must bribe our prospects to willingly surrender their contact details. The item used to bribe them is what we called a Lead Magnet. We saw how important a Lead Magnet is in our List Building endeavors. In this post we want to further explore what a Lead Magnet is and how imperative it is to make it irresistible. Lead Magnets, experts agree, are one of the best ways to get more email subscribers.
As we have already noted, a Lead Magnet is an incentive that marketers offer to prospects and potential buyers in exchange for their email addresses, or other contact information.
What do Lead Magnets usually offer? They usually offer or promise to give you a piece of digital, downloadable content, such as a free PDF Report, eBook, whitepaper, or video, etc.
Does Every Business Need a Lead Magnet?
It is clear that if you want to generate leads online, then you and your business need a lead magnet. It is as simple as that.
Simply because the email address is a very personal thing. Nobody will be willing to give you their email address without a good and compelling incentive.
