|Are you a "Salty" Marketer|

|I often take lesson from my career and cross
them over into the world of marketing.
I see a direct correlation between the two
even they are worlds apart.
In the American Fire Service we often talk about what a "Salty" Fireman is...
He is the veteran, the senior man, the one who has seen so much,
the warrior clad in his burned and dirty gear and with
his body slowly beaten over years of service.
When we speak of "Salt of the Earth" in relation to people
we should consider 2 things.
First, Salt is used as a preservative,
for thousands of years salt has been used to "preserve"
Be the salt in this community when you see situations
or thing deteriorating, preserve what we have .
Second, Salt makes things good...
Its powerful yet humble flavor...
When is the last time you put salt on something ?
Something like corn on the cob....you didnt say after...
damn that was some good salt...
You said that is some good corn on the cobb.
It makes all the differance but will never get the credit it deserves.
Use salt to flavor those around us, make them better, make the community better.
